The third question from Fatwa No. ( 20802 )
Q 3: There are some signs that contain the remembrance of Allah and His Messenger, including a sign hanging in the home of one of the people, on which is written the phrase "La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasul Allah" (There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah). This phrase of tawhid (the oneness of Allah) is in the form of a man sitting in the position of sitting between the two prostrations, raising his right index finger. Is it permissible to possess this sign and hang it in homes, and what is the ruling on selling, buying, and making it?
A 3: It is not permissible to write the Qur'an in the shape of a human being or anything else; because of what that entails of playing with the Book of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
