He wants to be dutiful to his father with money, and he is in need, but his income does not suffice for his children's needs

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 18554 )
Q: I am a government employee in the police force of the Makkah region, and my salary is four thousand, five hundred and eighty riyals per month, from which 9% is deducted for retirement. I have a monthly rent of three hundred and ten riyals (310) for a house in the Security Forces housing in Jeddah. I also have a debt of fifty-two thousand riyals (52,000). My family consists of three daughters, three sons, myself, and my wife, totaling eight people. I have, O my honorable father, an elderly father who is married, and I want to be dutiful to him, but my financial capabilities are very difficult. Therefore, I hope in Allah, then in
your Eminence, to determine his legal entitlement from my aforementioned salary; so that I can commit to it monthly and not dispose of it for my own concerns, such as debt and others. For I fear that a sin will befall me, and I am indeed negligent in his right, but we ask Allah to accept our repentance, for He is the Accepter of Repentance, the Merciful.

A: I advise you to fear Allah the Exalted, and one of the greatest means of this is being dutiful to your aforementioned father, being kind to him, treating him with gentleness, meeting his needs according to your ability, and comforting him by explaining your situation. If you make your intention sincere, Allah will make your path straight and magnify your reward. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
