Image-making of the Prophets (peace be upon them)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original

The second question of fatwa number ( 21570 )

Q 2: Whatis the ruling on displaying images of the Prophets (peace be upon them) that were drawn by the Jews or the Christians ؟
A 2: Depicting beings with souls is strictly forbidden, and it is one of the major sins; because of the warning of curse and Fire for it, and that the image-makers are the most severely punished people on the Day of Resurrection, and that they are the most unjust people. Depicting the Prophets (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon them) is even more forbidden; because of the fitnah (trial) in it and the fear of shirk (associating partners with Allah) through them, and because of the desecration of their noble personalities through these images that are claimed to represent them. Therefore, it is obligatory to prevent this and refrain from it; out of respect for the status of the Prophets (peace be upon them), and to prevent the means of shirk. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
