The first question of Fatwa No. ( 17382 )
Q1: I read in (Al-Majalis Magazine), issue No. (1168), dated 24/12/1994 CE, on pages (4, 5, 6), a news report in which the editor of this report says: (The age of miracles has passed and ended, and there is no longer any existence except for scientific facts that speak for themselves. For that reason, I was hesitating when I decided to go to a young man who claims he is able to treat AIDS in two minutes only, and who challenges any doctor to add anything to a disease that he has diagnosed. The surprise was that when I arrived at this young man's house, I found people riding Mercedes—this is in Egypt —there was a lady returning from a failed treatment trip in Europe , I found the lawyer, the accountant, and the teacher, people from all classes from different countries. Everyone came with pink dreams of being cured of the disease preceding them; it is not a condition that it be in the hands of a specific person, the important thing is the result, even if it is in the hands of a person whose actions we classify in the list of charlatanism and sorcery. When I sat in the treatment session, my eyes could not grasp what was happening before me, and my mind could not comprehend what
was before the eyes of everyone. The important thing is that the people there confirm that this young man is blessed and has karamahs (miracles granted to a righteous person). Some confirm that their illness is on its way to disappearing, and others confirm that their ailments have left them with a stone and the shaykh's hand placed on their bodies. Shaykh Majdi is a young man who transformed from just a teacher to a person about whom Egypt speaks from Alexandria to Aswan , which led the American network (CNN) to go to his residence to find out who Shaykh Majdi is. He says: My name is Majdi Abd al-Sami Murad, born 3/5/1965 CE, a primary school teacher, married with two sons. I was living my life like any young man of my age, practicing sports, especially football. One day, after the end of the school day, I returned to my house and asked my wife to prepare lunch, and I went to perform the midday prayer. After the prayer, I sat to read the Qur'an. At that moment, I felt that a heavy mountain entered my body, and my whole body began to tremble, and I began to move without consciousness. My family thought I had been struck by a disease, but it was a surprise when a voice came out of my mouth and said: (I am Queen Sally, I have come to treat the disease through Majdi, and I have (2) billion believing jinn). After that, I began to regain my consciousness, and my family told me what had happened, and then Queen Sally spoke to me face to face and said: Her goal is noble, which is to treat the most dangerous diseases through me, by means of
the Qur'an. She told me: There are (2) billion believing jinn under my command, deployed to carry out my commands through the Qur'an, to treat the most dangerous diseases that humans suffer from. This is the editor's text verbatim. The question is: If this statement is true, what is the ruling on going to this young man, and what is your Eminence's opinion of this young man?
A1: This is charlatanism and lying to people and exploiting those with weak minds. This type of person has become numerous, who report incidents with jinn, and trips and sightings as in the report you attributed to the aforementioned magazine, and in the book: (A Journalistic Dialogue with a Muslim Jinn), which is a fabricated book with no reality. This may be for making a living and extracting money from some people, and for others it is to sow doubt and illusions. So beware of this and its like, and you must be careful in all your affairs and matters. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
