The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 7994 )
Q4: I am an unmarried man, and I fear that I will fall into sins. So what is the ruling if I give a woman money and she accepts it and I have sexual intercourse with her, considering that the money I gave her is a mahr (bridal gift)? What is the ruling on that?
A4: First : It is obligatory for you to protect yourself, and to stay away from the means of zina (unlawful sexual intercourse), and to hasten to marriage if you are able. If you are not able, then seek help in that through fasting, for it is established that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Mishkat al-Masabih 3080 Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. Second: The money mentioned does not become a mahr, but rather it is illicit
and forbidden, and your act is zina. So you must repent to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), feel remorse for what happened from you, and make a sincere resolve not to return to it. May Allah reform you and inspire you with guidance. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Young man, those of you who can support a wife should marry, for it keeps you from looking at strange women and preserves you from immorality; but those who cannot should devote themselves to fasting, for it is a means of suppressing sexual desire.
