Q: First: Is it permissible in the Shari'ah for a man's wife to uncover herself before his brothers or his paternal cousins? Second: Is it permissible for a boy to sleep with his mother and his sister when he has reached maturity?
A: First: The husband's brothers and his paternal cousins are not mahram (relatives one may not marry) to his wife simply by virtue of being his brothers or his paternal cousins. Therefore, it is not permissible for his wife to expose to them what she does not expose to her own mahram, even if they are righteous and trustworthy. Indeed, Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) restricted a woman's display of her adornment to specific people whom He specified in His saying:[An-Nur 24:31], and in His saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih Muslim 1445i. The husband's brothers and his paternal cousins are not among these people simply by being his brothers or his paternal cousins. Allah did not distinguish between the righteous and the unrighteous in this matter, as a precaution for chastity and to block the means to evil and corruption.
It is established in the authentic hadith:Mishkat al-Masabih 3641. By "hamu" (in-laws) is meant the husband's brother and the like of those who are not mahram to the wife. Thus, the Muslim must preserve his religion and be cautious regarding his chastity. Second: It is not permissible for male children, once they reach puberty or are ten years old, to sleep with their mothers or sisters in their beds or on their mattresses, as a precaution for the private parts, to avoid inciting fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), and to block the means to evil. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the separation of children in their beds when they reach ten years of age, and said: Sunan ad-Daraqutni 3:5. He also ordered those who have not reached puberty to seek permission when entering houses at the three times when exposure and the appearance of the private parts are likely, and He emphasized this by calling them private parts, saying the Exalted: [An-Nur 24:58],
and He ordered those who have reached puberty to seek permission at all times when entering houses, so Allah the Exalted said:[An-Nur 24:59]. All of this is for the purpose of averting fitnah, being cautious regarding chastity, and eliminating the means to evil. As for one who is under ten years old, it is permissible for him to sleep with his mother or sister in her bed; due to his need for care, to remove hardship, and given the absence of fitnah. However, it is permissible, given the absence of fitnah, for them all to sleep in one place, even if they are adults, with each of them having his own bed. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

يحرم من الرضاعة ما يحرم من النسبIt is established in the authentic hadith:
Anas told that the Prophet was asked about wine which was turned into vinegar* and forbade it. Muslim transmitted it. * This is said to have been done by putting onions or salt in it, or by placing it in the sun.
أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم سئل عن الحمو فقال: الحمو: الموتOrder your children to pray at the age of seven, hit them for it at the age of ten, and separate them in their beds.
مروا أولادكم بالصلاة لسبع، واضربوهم عليها لعشر، وفرقوا بينهم في المضاجعO you who have believed, let those whom your right hands possess and those who have not [yet] reached puberty among you ask permission of you [before entering] at three times: before the dawn prayer and when you put aside your clothing [for rest] at noon and after the night prayer. [These are] three times of privacy for you. There is no blame upon you nor upon them beyond these [periods], for they continually circulate among you - some of you, among others. Thus does Allah make clear to you the verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise.
