Intercourse with a Pregnant Woman

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18371 )
Q2: When must a man avoid intercourse with his wife during pregnancy, and does pregnancy, especially during the first three months, cause harm to the fetus?
A2: There is nothing wrong with intercourse with a pregnant woman as long as it does not harm the pregnancy. What is prohibited is only intercourse with a menstruating woman; as Allah the Exalted said:
so keep away from wives during menstruation. And do not approach them until they are pure. And when they have purified themselves, then come to them from where Allah has ordained for youفَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي الْمَحِيضِ وَلاَ تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّى يَطْهُرْنَ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ
[Al-Baqarah 2:222]
and likewise a woman in post-natal bleeding until she is purified from it, and a woman in the state of ihram for Hajj or 'Umrah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
