It is permissible to borrow for marriage
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 17660 )
Q1:
Is it permissible for a Muslim to marry with debt?
A1: It is permissible for a person to borrow for marriage if he fears fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) for himself due to not marrying. However, if he does not fear fitnah for himself, it is better that he be patient until he is able to do so and not borrow. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
