The sick person who is unable to fast in Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 1528 )
Q1: There is a patient suffering from tuberculosis, and fasting is difficult for him in Ramadan. He broke his fast last Ramadan. Does he have to feed people or not? Knowing that his recovery is not expected, and he is only treated for a short period, such as a month, during which he descends from his residence in the desert to the town, and then he stays in the town and leaves.
A1: If this patient is unable to fast in Ramadan and his recovery is not expected, fasting is dropped from him, and it is obligatory for him to feed one poor person for every day he broke his fast, giving him half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) of wheat, dates, rice, or the like of what his family is accustomed to eating, provided he has the ability to do so, like the old man and the old woman for whom fasting is difficult. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
