Fatwa number ( 12233 )
Q: I came from Egypt to Makkah al-Mukarramah to work, and I did not intend to perform 'Umrah when I left Egypt , nor did I enter the state of ihram, and after I stayed in Makkah for 7 days, I entered the state of ihram from the mosque of al-Tan'eem , and I performed the 'Umrah, so one of the brothers told me: that I must enter Makkah in the state of ihram, so how valid is that, and what is required of me?
A: If the matter is as you described, your entering the state of ihram from al-Tan'eem is valid. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
