From the Virtues of Surat al-Baqarah

The second question of Fatwa No. ( 1733 ):
Q2: What do you say, may Allah have mercy on you, regarding the fact that I read a book titled [Jami' al-Fawa'id min Jami' al-Usul wa Majma' al-Zawa'id], Part Two, in the chapter ( Virtues of the Surahs of the Qur'an ), and I found the following text: From al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him): that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Recite the Qur'an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, al-Baqara and Surah Al 'Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it. (Mu'awiya said: It has been conveyed to me that here Batala means magicians.)اقرؤوا القرآن، فإنه يأتي يوم القيامة شفيعًا لأصحابه، اقرؤوا الزهراوين [البقرة وسورة آل عمران] إلى قوله: قال معاوية : بلغني أن البطلة السحرة
Sahih Muslim 804a
, and then he said after that: It was added in a narration: "There is no servant who reads it in a rak'ah before prostrating and then asks Allah for anything but that He gives it to him; it almost exhausts the entire religion"

A2 : This addition was mentioned by Ibn al-Athir in [Jami' al-Usul] 8 / 470, and we do not know of any basis for it. The commentator on [Jami' al-Usul] said: We did not find this addition with Muslim, and it is perhaps from the additions of al-Humaydi . And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
