The third paragraph of Fatwa No. ( 4770 ):
Q: What is the ruling on slaughtering for a dead person who claims to be a close friend of Allah, and for whom walls are built?
A: Slaughtering for the deceased you mentioned, who is claimed to be a close friend of Allah, is a type of shirk (associating partners with Allah), and the one who slaughters for the wali (close friend of Allah) is a mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah) and cursed, and it is carrion, and it is forbidden for the Muslim to eat from it; because Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
And because it is established from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1978b . And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars

Allah cursed him who sacrificed for anyone besides Allah
