The raising of 'Isa (peace be upon him) and his birth without a father, and the reason for the legislation of jihad

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 6426 ):
Q: The content is whether it is necessary to believe in the following matters in the religion of Islam: 1 - That 'Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) was raised to the sky with his body. 2 - That 'Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) was conceived by his mother without a human father. 3 - That jihad in the abode of war means offensive war to seize power and force non-Muslims into Islam.
A: It is obligatory to believe in the following: First: That 'Isa ibn Maryam (peace and blessings be upon them both) was raised to the sky with his body and soul, alive and not dead until now, and the Jews did not kill him and did not crucify him, but He made it appear to them so they claimed that they had killed and crucified him, and the Christians agreed with their false claim out of ignorance. Allah the Exalted said:
(155) And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped". Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few. (156) And [We cursed them] for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander, (157) And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. (158) Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.
[An-Nisa 4:155-158]

Second: That 'Isa ibn Maryam is not the son of Allah, and he has no father from among humans or others, but rather Allah commanded His messenger Jibril (peace be upon him) to breathe into her from His spirit, so he breathed into her and she conceived 'Isa (peace be upon him). Allah the Exalted said:
And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east.
[Maryam 19:16]
the verses. Third: Allah the Exalted legislated jihad to spread Islam and to remove the obstacles that confront the callers in the path of calling to the truth, and to restrain those who are prompted by their souls to harm the callers to Him and to aggress against them, so that there is no fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), and security prevails and peace becomes widespread, and the word of Allah is the highest and the word of disbelief is the lowest, and people enter into the religion of Allah in groups. Allah the Exalted said:
And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah. And if they cease - then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do.
[Al-Anfal 8:39]
, and He said:
And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him].
[At-Tawbah 9:36]
, and He said:
It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion. And sufficient is Allah as Witness.
[Al-Fath 48:28]

And by this it is known that jihad was legislated to bring people out of darkness into light and to bring them into the religion of Allah in groups, so that there is no fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), and also for the defense of the domain of Islam. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
