Chapter: "Chapter of the One Who Spends the Morning Safe in His Abode." Explanation of the Hadith of the Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him)
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In another narration, with the sin open, it is sarab, and linguistically as well, it is said sarab. So the first narration, which is the most common among us, is nafs: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 14:42 meaning in his soul, and it seems that he (peace and blessings be upon him) means that safety in the abode is psychological peace of mind, because he mentioned this second characteristic after the first characteristic: So whoever spends the morning safe in his abode, meaning in his soul. As for the open sin, as we mentioned in the other narration, the intended meaning is the path and the way, so the meaning differs somewhat, but in the end, one meets the other.
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 14:42 meaning: in his soul, or Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 14:42 meaning in his starting point, in his life, in his path, in this world which Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) made a cause and a means for the Muslim to be happy with in the hereafter. So whether the narration is: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 14:42 meaning: in his soul, or Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 14:42 meaning in his path and his starting point in his life, the outcome is the same.
Then the second characteristic: Then he said finally: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 14:42 meaning: the world was gathered for him, and it was gathered for him in its entirety. The purpose of the hadith is to train the Muslim to be content with the little that Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) has given him of provision, and that provision in its abundance is a matter that has no limits to which a person reaches. Rather, the matter is as the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) clarified in the authentic hadith when he said: Therefore, the hadith is an encouragement for the Muslim to be content with what Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) has given him of provision, even if it is only his daily sustenance. It has passed in some hadiths that whoever has the provision of a day and night, lunch and dinner for a day and night, it is not permissible for him Islamically to ask people, meaning that he "begs" from them, because this provision is sufficient for him, and every day he receives his provision from Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). Therefore, this hadith seems to meet with a strong connection to the well-known verse in which Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) addressed His ummah through the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when He said: [Taha 20:131] Therefore, if a Muslim is restricted in his provision, he should remember this hadith: And whoever spends the morning with his provision expanded, he should remember the previous hadith in the last lesson, which is his saying (peace and blessings be upon him) to 'Amr ibn al-'As: Mishkat al-Masabih 3756.
Then, if he spends the morning afflicted in his body, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in this hadith mentions the minimum upon which the life of the ordinary Muslim should be established, who may not find for himself the patience that carries him to be pleased with the divine decree and destiny of Allah. But Allah (Mighty and Majestic) tests His servants as He wills. A person may spend the morning with no sustenance, a person may spend the morning with no health, a person may spend the morning with no safety and peace in his home, in his house, in his own dwelling. So what does he do? At that time, he must supplicate with patience, and there are many hadiths and well-known, famous verses regarding this. Among them is the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He):[Al-Baqarah 2:155-157], and among them is his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): .
So this hadith which we are in the process of commenting on clarifies for us the minimum to which a person can be reassured in his peaceful, ordinary life: But this does not mean that the Muslim is not tested, and that the Muslim may fall ill and be healthy in his body. This is from this world, to be healthy in his body is from this world, likewise to be safe and reassured in his abode and have his daily sustenance, all of this is from the matters of this world with which the Muslim should be content and take it as a methodology for his life, not extending his gaze to more than that. But Allah (Mighty and Majestic), as we said earlier, tests His servants as He wills, and among that is the test in the body, and the test with hunger, as we mentioned in the previous verse, and as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said, as if he is consoling those who may be tested in their body or in their health or in their life from among the Muslims with some hardship and severity. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, consoling these people: Therefore, if one of us is struck, if one of us, women or men, is struck with something we do not like, whether in his body or in his health or in his wealth, he should not be weary, and he should be pleased and patient with the divine decree until Allah (Mighty and Majestic) gives him his reward on the Day of Resurrection without reckoning. We ask Allah to make us among these people.
When someone is secure in his property
من أصبح آمنا في سربهhealthy in his body
When someone is secure in his property
When someone is secure in his property
When someone is secure in his property
When someone is secure in his property
Then the second characteristic:
healthy in his body
معافى في جسدهand has his food for the day, it is as if he owned the entire world.
If the son of Adam had two valleys of gold, he would seek a third. If he had three, he would seek a fourth. Nothing fills the stomach of the son of Adam except dust. And Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents.
And do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [some] categories of them, [its being but] the splendor of worldly life by which We test them
Whoever wakes up in the morning safe in his person, healthy in his body, and having the food for the day, it is as if the world has been gathered for him.
Honest property is good 1 for an honest man.
Among them is the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He):
(155) And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, (156) Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." (157) Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.
The affair of the believer is wonderful. If good befalls him, he praises Allah and is grateful, and that is good for him. And if bad befalls him, he is patient, and that is good for him. And the affair of the believer is all good, and that is not for anyone but the believer.
So this hadith which we are in the process of commenting on clarifies for us the minimum to which a person can be reassured in his peaceful, ordinary life:
