Discussion of the hadith: (In the human being there are three hundred and sixty joints, and for every joint there is a charity every day).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We know, for example, that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has bestowed blessings upon the human being in his very self, let alone the blessings of this world with which He has granted him pleasure. Allah has bestowed many, many blessings upon the human being, to the extent that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said in an authentic hadith:
A human being has three hundred and sixty joints
Sunan Abi Dawud 5242Sahih (Al-Albani)
A joint is a joint,
In the human being there are three hundred and sixty joints, and for every joint there is a charity every day
meaning: upon every person there is a charity of three hundred and sixty every day. Why? As thanks to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for not creating him as a piece of wood. If He had done so, he would not have been able to eat, drink, walk, or do anything. If a person’s hand were to dry up or be afflicted with a disease, he would have to be fed by a small child. So our Lord (Mighty and Majestic), when He created this human being and surrounded him with these blessings in his person, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said that thanks to Allah is a charity of three hundred and sixty for every person every day. They said: O Messenger of Allah, who among us is able to give three hundred and sixty charities every day? So he (peace and blessings be upon him) made the matter easy for them and explained to them that the legislated charities are not limited to metal coins, but rather, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the completion of the hadith:
Enjoining what is right is a charity, forbidding what is wrong is a charity, reconciling between two people is a charity, carrying the burden on the back of your brother's mount is a charity, and in every tasbih is a charity, and in every tahmid is a charity, and in every takbir is a charity
, and he mentioned at the end a great number of good deeds, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
And two rak'ahs of Duha gather all of that for you.
As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 63:128

I want to say: The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) told us here about something that a person does not usually know. Indeed, medicine, which has reached a high level of knowledge to this day, does not know this reality that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) told us about, which is that every human being has three hundred and sixty joints. Medicine to this day is ignorant of this reality. So the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke about some of the blessings that Allah deposited in the human body. As for the apparent blessings, such as sight and hearing and the like of these blessings, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) does not speak about them because they are apparent. But we know that these blessings can be used for good and can be used for evil. You look and smile at the face of your brother, and a charity is written for you. But if you look at a forbidden woman and smile at her face, a sin is written for you. And as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in an authentic hadith:
The share of Adam's son from fornication has been written for him; he will surely reach it. The eye commits fornication, and its fornication is looking; the ear commits fornication, and its fornication is hearing; the hand commits fornication, and its fornication is touching
, and in a narration that is weak in its chain:
Touching
meaning: shaking hands. The word "batsh" here refers to the shaking of hands with which many of the young people today are afflicted.
The hand commits fornication, and its fornication is touching; the foot commits fornication, and its fornication is walking; the mouth commits fornication, and its fornication is kisses
- the plural of "kublah" (kiss) - he (peace and blessings be upon him) said at the end of the hadith:
and the private parts testify all this or deny it.
Sahih al-Bukhari 6243
.
So these are blessings that Allah created in the human being, which can be used in obedience to Allah, and can be used in disobedience to Allah. Do we say that since some people use these blessings in disobedience to Allah, we forbid them from them and eliminate them in them because they use them in obedience to Allah? The matter does not stop at this, and this is an abomination. But we say that we place barriers before the eyes of all people so that what? They do not use them in disobedience to Allah. Now, our Lord has granted us this and has admonished us and reminded us that these blessings should not be used in disobedience to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Likewise, He mentioned in the Noble Qur'an:
And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.
[Ya-Sin 36:42]
, He created for us means that our fathers and grandfathers before us did not know. And there is no doubt that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) favors us with such a noble promise:
And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.
[Ya-Sin 36:42]
. So if some people misused what Allah (Mighty and Majestic) created after it was not previously known, and some people misused it; I say this is forbidden, it is not permissible for general women to use it; because some women misuse it. There is no difference in this between the one who says it is not permissible for women to use a car or ride in a car; because they use it, or some of them use it in disobedience to Allah, and the one who says it is not permissible to ride any known beast; because some women use that in disobedience to Allah.
I do not think that this has any validity in opinion, and the correct view is to say that if the woman who observes the hijab, the Shari'ah hijab, rides in a car; then she is equal to the man in riding the car, especially since he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Woman are counterpart of men.
Sunan Abi Dawud 236
