The questioner: Oh Professor ... .

Eid Abbasi: Go ahead.

The questioner : ... .

Eid Abbasi : And what is it?

Another questioner: That Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) commands us to walk upon this blessed call, whether life is written for us or not. Even if we are weak, but by the blessing of our steadfastness and our response to the command of Allah, Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) is able, by His might, power, and greatness, to turn our weakness into strength and the strength of our enemy into weakness. Did you not know that 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), when he resolved to kill Muhammad, at the very moment he intended to kill Muhammad, Allah interposed between him and his heart, transforming his heart from a hateful heart determined to kill him into a loving heart determined to defend the religion of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
So, Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) is able, as we said, to turn our weakness into strength and the strength of our enemy into weakness. This is what our Lord mentioned in Surat al-Mumtahanah when our Lord (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:
There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone" except for the saying of Abraham to his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allah. Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination.
[Al-Mumtahanah 60:4]
.
Observe this disavowal, observe the strength of the enemy, the multitude of the enemy, and the small number and weakness of our master Ibrahim and his companions in terms of their fewness. The result of this noble stance and the complete disavowal between Ibrahim and these disbelievers was that Allah affirmed that we should walk upon this path that Ibrahim walked upon, so He said afterwards:
There has certainly been for you in them an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day
[Al-Mumtahanah 60:6]
"" and remember Allah much "", then He said at the end of the verse ...
...
And the verse that follows it:
Perhaps Allah will put, between you and those to whom you have been enemies among them, affection
[Al-Mumtahanah 60:7]
Here is our witness,
Perhaps Allah will put, between you and those to whom you have been
[Al-Mumtahanah 60:7]
just as Ibrahim and those with him were hostile; Allah is able, by the grace of this disavowal between us and them, the Lord of the worlds is able, by the grace of this complete disavowal for the sake of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), to turn their hateful hearts just as He turned the heart of 'Umar who was determined to kill Muhammad, to change their hearts so that they become believers. Then Allah concluded the verse with a miraculous and eloquent meaning: we must increase our trust in Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) in His power to grant us victory even if we are weak, as we mentioned, and Allah is capable of that by transferring them from the people of disbelief to the people of faith, and Allah is Forgiving of their sins and their evil deeds, Merciful to you because He strengthened you with them by the grace of your disavowal of them, by the grace of your disavowal for the sake of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). This is a brief word supported by the noble verse
And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.
[Al-Anfal 8:24]
.
We ask Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) to fill our hearts with love for Him and faith in Him (Blessed and Exalted is He) and trust, for this is the path that we must follow, and it is the path that Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) has outlined, and by it we benefit, we take pride, and we are honored in this world and the Hereafter, and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
