The ruling on shaking hands with a non-mahram woman through a barrier

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
There are some customs among some people where they shake hands with women who are not their mahram, and the woman comes and puts on her jilbab and her khimar and shakes the man's hand. And when some people rebuke him, he says: I did not shake her hand; she placed her garment or jilbab [between us], and I did not shake her hand. What is the ruling?
The ruling is that it is not permissible for a man to shake hands with a woman who is not his mahram, neither directly nor through a barrier; because shaking hands through a barrier involves a person grasping and feeling the hand, so it is not permissible for him to shake her hand, whether with a barrier or without one.
