His saying, the Exalted:

When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]

إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ

[At-Takwir:1] This occurs on the Day of Resurrection,and At-Takwir: gathering a thing together and wrapping it, just as a turban is wrapped around the head.
And (the sun) is a massive, large, and vast body, which Allah (Mighty and Majestic) folds up on the Day of Resurrection, wrapping it entirely and folding part of it over part, so its light disappears, and He (Mighty and Majestic) casts it into the Fire to vex those who worship it besides Allah,Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said:

Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allah are the firewood of Hell

إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ

[Al-Anbiya:98] meaning: you will be cast into Hellfire,

You will be coming to [enter] it.

أَنْتُمْ لَهَا وَارِدُونَ

[Al-Anbiya:98] and excepted from this are those who are worshipped besides Allah the Exalted from among the awliya (close friends of Allah), for they are not cast into the Fire,as Allah the Exalted said after this verse by two verses:

⁽¹⁰¹⁾ Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed. ⁽¹⁰²⁾ They will not hear its sound, while they are, in that which their souls desire, abiding eternally.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُمْ مِنَّا الْحُسْنَى أُوْلَئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ * لا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيسَهَا وَهُمْ فِي مَا اشْتَهَتْ أَنفُسُهُمْ خَالِدُونَ

[Al-Anbiya:101-102] .
