The questioner : This questioner is inquiring about the noble verse [Ash-Shu'ara 26:84].
The Shaykh : This is from the supplication of Ibrahim (peace be upon him). He asked Allah the Exalted to make for him a truthful tongue among the later generations, meaning that He would make for him people who would praise him among the later generations with truthful praise. And Allah the Exalted accepted his supplication, so Ibrahim (peace be upon him) became a subject of praise in the books of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and on the tongues of His messengers, until Allah the Exalted said to His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family)[An-Nahl 16:123]. And He the Exalted said [Al-Hajj 22:78]. So the praise of Ibrahim occurred among the later generations, to the extent that the Jews said that Ibrahim was a Jew, and the Christians said that Ibrahim was a Christian. So Allah denied that and said [Ali 'Imran 3:67]. The point is that all these nations boast that Ibrahim (peace be upon him) is from them, but they are lying, except for the Muslims. The Jews and Christians are not described in this way; rather, they are disbelievers. The Jews said that 'Uzayr is the son of Allah, and the Christians said that the Messiah is the son of Allah. And Allah the Exalted refuted them in that by His saying . And in Surat al-Ikhlas, Allah the Exalted said [Al-Ikhlas 112:1-4]. Yes.
The questioner : May Allah reward you with good, His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad.
And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.

Then We revealed to you, [O Muhammad], to follow the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth; and he was not of those who associate with Allah.
ثُمَّ أَوحَينا إِلَيكَ أَنِ اتَّبِع مِلَّةَ إِبراهيمَ حَنيفًا وَما كانَ مِنَ المُشرِكينَand has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you "Muslims" before [in former scriptures] and in this
Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah]. And he was not of the polytheists.
ما كانَ إِبراهيمُ يَهودِيًّا وَلا نَصرانِيًّا وَلكِن كانَ حَنيفًا مُسلِمًا وَما كانَ مِنَ المُشرِكينَThat is their statement with their mouths
ذلِكَ قَولُهُم بِأَفواهِهِم(1) Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, (2) Allah, the Eternal Refuge. (3) He neither begets nor is born, (4) Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
قُل هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ * اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ * لَم يَلِد وَلَم يولَد * وَلَم يَكُن لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌThe questioner : May Allah reward you with good, His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad.
