Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) explain all the meanings of the Qur'an?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The first question, and it is a long one, so you must shorten it. Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) explain all the meanings of the Qur'an as he explained its words? This is an opinion that says the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not die until he had explained all the words of the Qur'an. And what about the speech of Allah, which is their protection, the protection of their Lord, and their salvation and happiness, and the establishment of their religion and their worldly affairs? Meaning, one hundred percent, he explained it? Is that the opinion?

The Shaykh : He is correcting you. Read it again.
The questioner: About all the meanings of the Qur'an.

The Shaykh : No, read the phrase in full. Read it as I said at the beginning?

The questioner : Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) explain to his Companions all the meanings of the Qur'an as he explained to them its words?

The Shaykh : Okay, then what did you say? What does some of them say?

The questioner : Some of them say that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) explained the entire Qur'an.

The Shaykh : The entire Qur'an: meanings or words?

The questioner : Custom prevents a group of people from reading a book of knowledge, such as medicine or mathematics, without explaining it. So how could it be with the speech of Allah the Exalted!

The Shaykh : My brother, the question is clear, but it is as if I heard from the beginning that you are saying that some people say: just as the Messenger explained all the words of the Qur'an, he explained all the meanings of the Qur'an?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Did you say any of this?

The questioner : It is as if I do not know this. Did you sincerely hear it from me?

The Shaykh : How?

The questioner : This is the meaning.

The Shaykh : Ah, okay, the meaning is what concerns us.

The questioner : This is the opinion.

The Shaykh : The answer, I will tell you: I say that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), without a doubt, as Allah the Exalted said:
O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people يا أيها الرسول بدل ما أنزل إليك من ربك و إن لم تفعل فما بلغت رسالته و الله يعصمك من الناس
[Al-Ma'idah 5:67]
And as the Lady Aisha said: If the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) had concealed anything of what he was commanded to convey, he would have concealed the word of Allah the Mighty and Majestic:
And [remember, O Muhammad], when you said to the one on whom Allah bestowed favor and you bestowed favor, "Keep your wife and fear Allah," while you concealed within yourself that which Allah is to disclose. And you feared the people, while Allah has more right that you fear Him. و إذ تقول للذي أنعم الله عليه و أنعمت عليه أمسك عليك زوجك و اتق الله و تخفي في نفسك ما الله مبديه و تخشي الناس و الله أحق أن تخشاه
[Al-Ahzab 33:37]
. The Messenger did not conceal anything he was commanded to convey, as Aisha said, in the context of the preceding statement: "And whoever tells you that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) concealed anything he was commanded to convey has indeed fabricated a great lie against Allah." So the Messenger conveyed all the words of the Qur'an, even in the many ways you know.
the Quran has been revealed with seven different modes of reciation أنزل القرآن على سبعة أحرف

As for whether he explained all the meanings of the Qur'an, I say he explained all the meanings that might be obscure or whose understanding might be difficult for some of the Arabs themselves. As for the obvious, clear words, they do not need explanation. This is the answer.
