What is the ruling on performing wudu and saying the name of Allah during wudu in the bathroom?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding bathrooms these days, since they contain water rooms, what is the ruling on performing wudu or taking a bath in them and mentioning the name of Allah there?

The Shaykh : What is a water room?

The questioner : Do you mean the bathroom regarding the toilet?

The Shaykh : What is the problem? I do not understand.

The questioner : Mentioning Allah the Exalted inside the water rooms?

The Shaykh : Do you mean the two bathrooms on the floor?

The questioner: Ah.

The Shaykh : Yes, for example, a small room two meters by two meters with a toilet in one corner and a washbasin in another corner where one performs wudu. There is absolutely no problem with that, because the issue is only mentioning Allah the Exalted while sitting to relieve oneself. That is what is forbidden. So once he is done with that, he performs istinja' and istibra', stands up, and goes to the washbasin. He must say the name of Allah at that time. There is nothing wrong with this, because this place is not the toilet. This is a bathroom, do you see? The toilet is in a corner of this place. So if he sits there to relieve himself, it is forbidden for him to mention Allah the Exalted during that sitting. Otherwise, before that, he must say the name of Allah before taking off his clothes. He must say the name of Allah before taking off his clothes. He must say the name of Allah, and he must seek refuge in Allah. So if he sits to relieve himself, it is forbidden for him to mention Allah the Exalted. When he is done with that, what does he say? He says, "Your forgiveness." When he is done with that phrase and moves a step to another part of the bathroom, he mentions Allah and does whatever he wishes of dhikr. Is that clear?
