Does the husband have the right to take from his wife's salary?

The Shaykh : And upon you peace... if Allah wills... This, my sister, is related to her husband when he married her. Did he marry her on the condition that she would remain in her job, or did she get employed during the time he married her? Then, did they agree, either before or after, that this salary would be shared equally, or that they would use it to support their domestic life? If there is any such agreement, it must be carried out. If there is no such agreement, the husband has no right to share in his wife's salary. Do you understand me?

The questioner : I mean, if there is an agreement between the spouses to share the salary equally or for him to take some of it, then it is as they agreed. If there is no agreement, he has no right to take anything from her salary.
