A Discussion on the Noble Qur'an and an Explanation of Its Greatness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings. All praise is due to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own souls and from the evil of our deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides, none can misguide, and whomsoever He leaves to misguide, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. Allah the Exalted sent him with guidance and the religion of truth, so he conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, advised the community, and struggled in the cause of Allah with true struggle. May Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows: It is a pleasure for me to meet my brothers here in the Prophet's Mosque, the mosque of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), on the sixteenth night of the month of Ramadan in the year 1416. I ask Allah the Exalted to forgive our sins in this month, to raise our ranks, to accept our deeds, and to make our month a month of good for us and for Muslims in general. Indeed, He is capable of all things.
I intended to speak about the topic of zakah, about the topic of zakah, but I was inclined to speak about an important matter before speaking about the topic of zakah. That is the Book of Allah, Mighty and Majestic. This Book which Allah, Mighty and Majestic, revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the noblest of the books revealed to the noblest of the messengers, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). It is the speech of Allah in truth; He spoke it and cast it down to Jibril, and Jibril brought it down to the heart of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
