The questioner : May Allah reward you. He says:The questioner : What is the ruling on a woman going out to the Eid prayer while she is menstruating, for the purpose of listening and not praying with the congregation, and where does she sit?

The Shaykh : Yes, this is a recommended practice (sunnah) for a menstruating woman to go out to the Eid prayer, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that even the menstruating women and those in their seclusion should go out. However, the menstruating woman does not enter the mosque or the prayer area; she is to be in a side area that is not considered part of the prayer area. If the prayer area is enclosed, she should be behind the enclosure. If it is not enclosed, she should be in an area where the worshippers do not reach. Yes.
