Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on reciting over water and then a person drinking it or giving it to a patient to drink?

The Shaykh : It is reported from the righteous Salaf (may Allah have mercy on them) that they would recite from the Qur'an and blow with their saliva for the patient to drink. This was tried and it was beneficial. However, if the reciter knows that there is an illness in his mouth that could transmit germs through the saliva to this water, causing the patient to be afflicted, then it is not permissible for him to do so, out of fear of causing harm to the patient. The questioner : May Allah bless you. In his second question, he says.
