However, the scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) said: It should be written with saffron, either on a piece of paper which is then thrown into the water so that the effect of the saffron appears in the water, or in a clean vessel in which verses from the Qur'an are written, then water is poured into it and mixed, and the sick person drinks it. This is what the righteous Salaf used to do, and there is no harm in using it. Some people have tried it and benefited from it.
