And to Him the Messenger ascended in truth *** And likewise the son of Mary, the ascension of bodies (Clarifying that the ascension of Muhammad and 'Isa, peace be upon them both, was with the soul and the body)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Indeed, the son of Mary was raised by Allah to Him with his body, not with his soul, because souls are not specific to the son of Mary; every believer has his soul raised to Allah. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was likewise raised to Allah with his body. He ascended above the seven heavens until he reached a place where he heard the scratching of the pens, the pens of divine decree. He reached the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary and ascended these vast, wide, and distant heavens in a single night. He ascended them and returned to them, and he prayed with the prophets and sent peace upon the prophets. Also, there was a consultation between him and his Lord, Mighty and Majestic, regarding the obligation of the five prayers. All of this happened in one night. He came to Mecca from the Holy Temple in that night, and he woke up on that day and began telling people what he had seen. The deniers denied him and rejected it, saying, "We travel to Sham for a month and return from Sham for a month, and Muhammad claims that he reached Sham and the Throne in one night. This is a lie." So they gathered at his place and denied him, and they went to Abu Bakr and said, "Your companion is saying such and such, so see what he is doing." He said:
If he said that, then he told the truth إن كان قد قال ذلك فقد صدق
(may Allah be pleased with him). From that day, he was called al-Siddiq (the Truthful One). So the result is that the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, was raised with his body. As for the statement of those who say he was raised with his soul, that is a false statement, because Allah says:
Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa سبحان الذي أسرى بعبده ليلا من المسجد الحرام إلى المسجد الأقصى
[Al-Isra 17:1]
with His servant. He did not say with the soul of His servant.
with His servant بعبده
And regarding the Mi'raj in Surat al-Najm, he said in Surat al-Najm:
(17) The sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it transgress [its limit]. (18) He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord. ما زاغ البصر وما طغى لقد رأى من آيات ربه الكبرى
[An-Najm 53:17-18]
He saw with his own self. If he had been raised with his soul, the Quraysh would not have denied it, because the Quraysh do not deny visions. A vision is something every person sees that is impossible in a night or a month, and they see it in their sleep in an hour. If it had been a dream, the Quraysh would not have denied it. The point is that these people of ta'til (denial of the divine attributes), who denied Allah of His attributes and denied the texts of the Hereafter of their meanings, leveled an attack at whom? At the people of the Sunnah, the tajsim (ascribing a body to Allah) as they call it.
