Some people perform tayammum for every prayer despite the presence of a large water truck from which they water their camels and sheep, and when I perform tayammum with them, I do not feel the taste of prayer or the humility in it.

The questioner : Some people perform tayammum for every prayer despite the presence of a large water truck from which they water their camels and sheep. However, when I perform tayammum like them, I do not feel the taste of prayer or the humility in it, and I feel that it is invalid because I know that tayammum is invalidated in the presence of water. I ask for the scholarly ruling in this matter, O honorable Shaykh?

The Shaykh : If the questioner had said "the legal ruling," it would have been better than saying "the scholarly opinion."

The questioner : Very well.

The Shaykh : The ruling in this matter, which is for a person to perform tayammum while water is present and available, is that his tayammum is invalid and it is not permissible for him to pray with it.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Accordingly, these people who perform tayammum while having a water truck do not have permission to pray with this tayammum. If they pray with this tayammum, their prayer is invalid, because Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) only permitted tayammum when water is not found. Whoever has a water truck has found it, so it is not permissible for him to perform tayammum. These people should fear Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in themselves and use water for their purification, because they have it available.
Generally, obtaining this water is easy; they go to the water sources and fill this truck, and it is sufficient for them for several days. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. This listener, Sayyid Abbas, an Egyptian, says: O honorable Shaykh.
