(Discussion on love for the sake of Allah, hatred for His sake, and giving and withholding for the sake of Allah) And all religion is for the Most Merciful, and there is nothing in it for anyone other than Him, nor love

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And all religion is for the Most Merciful, and there is nothing in it for anyone other than Him"
All religion, meaning: everything by which a person worships is for Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and there is nothing in it for anyone other than Him.
"And love and hatred, which are the two foundations of every loyalty and enmity"
This means: and love and hatred are also pure for Allah. Love and hatred are the two foundations of loyalty and enmity. Through love, loyalty is established, and through hatred, enmity is established. It is impossible for enmity to exist with love, ever, nor for loyalty to exist with hatred. So love is the foundation, and loyalty is the branch, meaning: whoever loves something, he shows loyalty to it. Hatred is the foundation, and enmity is the branch, meaning: whoever hates something, he is hostile to it. So if you love Allah, Mighty and Majestic, then at that time, the loyalty is the loyalty of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, to you, and your loyalty to Allah. And if the matter is the opposite, and may Allah protect us from that, then at that time, the enmity is the enmity of Allah to you, and your enmity to Allah. For this reason, the disbelievers are the object of Allah's hatred and His anger, and they are the people of His enmity.
"For Allah as well, so too are giving and withholding, upon which they stand"
"Upon which they stand" means: upon giving and withholding. And "they stand" means: love and hatred, enmity and loyalty. He says:
"For Allah as well, so too are giving and withholding"
Giving from whom? From Allah, and withholding from Allah. Meaning: He is the One who bestows the love that leads to loyalty, and the hatred that leads to enmity. So whoever He gives love and loyalty to, He has given to him. And whoever He withholds from, He has forbidden him from love and loyalty. "O Allah, there is no one who can withhold what You have given, and there is no one who can give what You have withheld".
