The Shaykh : He said:
"Allah the Exalted, the Possessor of the Ascending Stages, to Whom the angels ascend every time"
As He the Exalted said:
(1) A supplicant asked for a punishment bound to happen (2) To the disbelievers; of it there is no preventer. (3) [It is] from Allah, owner of the ways of ascent. سأل سائل بعذاب واقع للكافرين ليس له دافع من الله ذي المعارج
[Al-Ma'arij 70:1-3]
This is a description of Allah, clarifying that He is the Possessor of the Ascending Stages. He said:
The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him تعرج الملائكة والروح إليه
[Al-Ma'arij 70:4]
