Is it permissible to drink blood for the purpose of treating rabies if that is well-known?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, there is a family in the Hail region, and it has been established through experience that their blood cures the disease called rabies. What is the ruling on drinking blood? I ask for an answer.

The Shaykh : By Allah, I doubt this, my brother. He says: There is a family whose blood is known to be beneficial against the dog bite, meaning if a dog bites, it is called the "mughluth."

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : If it bites a person, his end is destruction, and it is inevitable. He says: This group, this family, their blood is beneficial against the bite of this dog. Is it permissible for the one who is bitten to drink from this blood? This question: I think this is not correct, because Allah does not make the healing of this Ummah in what He has forbidden to them, and blood is forbidden. But perhaps this is a matter of illusion, because if a person imagines something, he benefits from it. Perhaps the one who is bitten has settled in his imagination that if he drinks from this blood, he will benefit, so he benefits. But if we assume, at the farthest estimate, that it is a confirmed matter that if a person drinks from this blood, he will be saved from death, then here we say it is permissible, by analogy to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you
[Al-An'am 6:119]
complete
excepting that to which you are compelled
[Al-An'am 6:119]
and to His saying when He mentioned the prohibition of carrion and the pig:
Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
and so on. He said:
But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
And in another verse:
But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
[An-Nahl 16:115]
Did you understand?
So now, the answer, number one: I completely exclude the possibility that this is correct, and I think that is a matter of the soul accepting this blood and reacting based on what the person imagines.
Second: If we assume, at the farthest estimate, that this is a confirmed matter, then it is permissible, because in that lies the saving of his life from destruction. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.
