The reciter: And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, and Abu Usamah narrated to us from Sa'd ibn Sa'id, who said: Umar ibn Kathir ibn Aflah informed me, saying: I heard Ibn Sufayn narrating that he heard Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: There is no servant who is struck by a calamity and says: "Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we return. O Allah, reward me in my calamity and replace for me something better than it," except that Allah will reward him in his calamity
The Shaykh : "Except that He will reward him." If you say "O Allah, reward me," you say "He will reward him." And if you say "O Allah, reward me" with a long alif, you say "He will reward him."
