Reading from the author's text with commentary and collation of manuscripts: "Chapter: Know that there is a difference between imitating the disbelievers and the jinn, and imitating the Bedouins and the non-Arabs

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yes
The reader: "Chapter: Know that there is a difference between imitating the disbelievers and the jinn, and imitating the Bedouins and the non-Arabs, which must be considered, and in summary requires explanation. That is: Disbelief and becoming like the jinn are blameworthy in the judgment of Allah, His Messenger, and His believing servants. But being a Bedouin or a non-Arab is not blameworthy in itself in the sight of Allah the Exalted, His Messenger, or His believing servants. Rather, the Bedouins are divided into those of roughness, about whom Allah said
(97) The bedouins are stronger in disbelief and hypocrisy and more likely not to know the limits of what [laws] Allah has revealed to His Messenger. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. (98) And among the bedouins are some who consider what they spend as a loss and await for you turns of misfortune. Upon them will be a misfortune of evil. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
[At-Tawbah 9:97-98]
"

The Shaykh : The circles. Stop. Do it better.
The reader: "
and await for you turns of misfortune. Upon them will be a misfortune of evil. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
[At-Tawbah 9:98]
And He the Exalted said about them:
(11) Those who remained behind of the bedouins will say to you, "Our properties and our families occupied us, so ask forgiveness for us." They say with their tongues what is not within their hearts. Say, "Then who could prevent Allah at all if He intended for you harm or intended for you benefit? Rather, ever is Allah, with what you do, Acquainted. (12) But you thought that the Messenger and the believers would never return to their families, ever, and that was made pleasing in your hearts. And you assumed an assumption of evil and became a people ruined."
[Al-Fath 48:11-12]
And into those of faith and righteousness, about whom Allah said "

The Shaykh : This is conjoined to his statement: "They are divided into those of roughness, about whom Allah said: The Bedouins," meaning, and into those of faith and righteousness.
The reader: "And into those of faith and righteousness, about whom Allah said:
But among the bedouins are some who believe in Allah and the Last Day and consider what they spend as means of nearness to Allah and of [obtaining] invocations of the Messenger. Unquestionably, it is a means of nearness for them. Allah will admit them to His mercy. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
[At-Tawbah 9:99]
And among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), from those who came to him and others among the Bedouins, there were those who were better than many of the town dwellers. So this is the Book of Allah, praising some of the Bedouins and blaming some of them. And He did the same with the people of the cities, saying the Exalted:
And among those around you of the bedouins are hypocrites, and [also] from the people of Madinah. They have become accustomed to hypocrisy. You, [O Muhammad], do not know them, [but] We know them. We will punish them twice [in this world]; then they will be returned to a great punishment.
[At-Tawbah 9:101]
So He made clear that the hypocrites are among the Bedouins and the town dwellers. And most of Surat al-Tawbah contains blame for the hypocrites from the people of the city and the Bedouins, as it contains praise for the foremost of the first among the emigrants and the helpers, and those who followed them with excellence, and for the Bedouins who take what they spend as nearness to Allah and prayers of the Messenger. And likewise the non-Arabs, who are those other than the Arabs, such as the Persians, Romans, Turks, Berbers, Abyssinians, and others, are divided into the believer and the disbeliever, the righteous and the wicked, just as the Bedouins are divided "

The Shaykh : The Arabs, just as the Arabs are divided. The Arabs.
The student: Listen

The Shaykh : Manuscript
The student: I have a copy.

The Shaykh : Ah?
The student: It says in it: alif, ba, ta, "the Arabs."

The Shaykh : No, you, go back to the manuscript, because the meaning is correct.
The reader: "Allah the Exalted said:
O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.
[Al-Hujurat 49:13]
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the authentic hadith:
Allah, Most High, has removed from you the pride of the pre-Islamic period and its boasting in ancestors. One is only a pious believer or a miserable sinner. You are sons of Adam, and Adam came from dust.
Sunan Abi Dawud 5116Hasan (Al-Albani)
And in another hadith, which we have narrated with a sound chain from the hadith of Sa'id al-Jurayri from Abu Nudrah, who said: He told me—or he said, he told us—who witnessed the sermon of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Mina in the middle of the days of Tashriq, and he was on a camel, and he said:
O people, know that your Lord (Mighty and Majestic) is One, and know that your father is One. Know that there is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, and know that there is no superiority of a black person over a white person except by taqwa (mindfulness of Allah). Know that I have conveyed [the message]. They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Let the one present convey it to the one absent."
"

The student: There is a problem, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes
The student: There is a problem.

The Shaykh : And He
The student: Where he said, "Know that there is no superiority of a black person over a red person, except by piety," whereas the obvious meaning is, "Know that there is no superiority of a red person over a black person, except by piety."

The Shaykh : Meaning, putting the red person first.
The student: Yes, O Shaykh, as in the story of Abu Dharr, where he rebuked the man.

The Shaykh : Perhaps the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) says this and that, meaning sometimes he starts with the superior and sometimes he starts with the inferior.
The reader: "And this hadith is narrated from Abu Nudrah from Jabir"
