Discussion regarding the verse: ((Indeed, those who disbelieved will not be benefited by their wealth or their children in the least from Allah, and those are the fuel of the Fire, like the habit of the family of Pharaoh

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan.
[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied Our signs, so Allah seized them for their sins. And Allah is severe in penalty. كدأب آل فرعون والذين من قبلهم كذبوا بآياتنا فأخذهم الله بذنوبهم والله شديد العقاب
[Ali 'Imran 3:11]
Have we not read this?
(12) Say to those who disbelieve, "You will be overcome and gathered together to Hell, and wretched is the resting place." (13) Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met - one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision. (14) Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.
[Ali 'Imran 3:12-14]
. I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the accursed Shaytan. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said:
Indeed, those who disbelieve - never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all إن الذين كفروا لن تغني عنهم أموالهم ولا أولادهم من الله شيئا
[Ali 'Imran 3:10]

The Shaykh : His saying:
Indeed, those who disbelieve - never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all إن الذين كفروا لن تغني عنهم أموالهم ولا أولادهم من الله شيئا ...
[Ali 'Imran 3:10]
Does "those who disbelieved" refer to a specific group, or is it general?
The student: It is general,

The Shaykh : and he has wealth and children, so these wealth and children will not benefit them.

The Shaykh : Is the negation of benefit here in this world or in the Hereafter?
The student: In the Hereafter,

The Shaykh : And in this world?
The student: It is possible that it benefits them in this world,

The Shaykh : From Allah? No,
never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah لن تغني عنهم ولا أولادهم من الله
[Ali 'Imran 3:10]
?
The student: In the Hereafter, it will not benefit them,

The Shaykh : And in this world?
The student: From Allah?

The Shaykh : Yes,
The student: It will not benefit them,

The Shaykh : Are you certain?
The student: It will not benefit them, I am certain,

The Shaykh : Neither in this world nor in the Hereafter, do you agree with this? Yes, it will not benefit them from Allah in the least, due to His saying, Exalted is He:
And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it وإذا أراد الله بقوم سوءا فلا مرد له
[Ar-Ra'd 13:11]

The Shaykh : Now, His saying:
and it is they who are the fuel of the Fire وأولئك هم وقود النار
"fuel of the Fire" means that with which it is kindled, meaning that the Fire is kindled with them,

The Shaykh : And does anyone share in that?
The student: Yes,

The Shaykh : Yes, yes, they share in it,

The Shaykh : They are the disbelievers, yes, Adam?
The student: The hypocrites share with them, the hypocrites, the disbelievers,

The Shaykh : No, no, Yahya?
The student: The stones

The Shaykh :
whose fuel is men and stones وقود ها الناس والحجارة
[Al-Baqarah 2:24]
.

The Shaykh : His saying:
like the custom of the people of Pharaoh كدأب آل فرعون
[Ali 'Imran 3:11]
"the habit of the family of Pharaoh," what does it mean?
The student: It means like the people of Pharaoh,

The Shaykh : What does "habit" mean?
The student: Like the people,

The Shaykh : Meaning
like the custom of the people of Pharaoh كدأب آل فرعون
[Ali 'Imran 3:11]
, i.e., like the family of Pharaoh?
The student: Like their custom, O Shaykh,

The Shaykh : Like their custom and their affair,
The Shaykh : Now, what is this phrase, what is the grammatical position of this word?
The student: What is its grammatical position?

The Shaykh : Yes,
The student: Meaning "habit" is the subject and "the family of Pharaoh" is the predicate,

The Shaykh : No, no, "habit" is like, meaning,
The student: Its grammar is this,

The Shaykh : No, its grammar is not this, now, you? Do you not know the grammar?
The student: "Like the habit" is a preposition and its object, a predicate placed before the subject,

The Shaykh : A predicate placed before what?
The student: A predicate placed before an implied subject

The Shaykh : A predicate placed before an implied subject? A predicate placed before, since the subject is implied, it is in your hand, place it before or after? If so? Now you say a predicate for an implied subject placed after, like this? Did you deviate from the placed after? So a predicate for a subject placed after, and the implied meaning is?
The student: The implied meaning is: their habit,

The Shaykh : Their habit like the habit of the family of Pharaoh, now.

The Shaykh : What is meant by "the family of Pharaoh" here, O 'Abd al-Mannan?
The student: Pharaoh himself and the family of his people who disbelieved from his people,

The Shaykh : Those who followed him, why do we not say those who followed him?
The student: Or those who followed him,

The Shaykh : Those who followed him, now, meaning he and his followers.

The Shaykh :
those before them الذين من قبلهم
[Al-Baqarah 2:118]
Like whom, O Ghannam?
The student: Like the companions of Noah, and the people of 'Aad,

The Shaykh : And the people of Ibrahim, and the people of Lut, and the companions of Madyan, many.

The Shaykh : The phrase:
They denied Our verses كذبوا بآياتنا
They denied Our signs, so Allah seized them كذبوا بآياتنا فأخذهم الله
[Ali 'Imran 3:11]
What is its grammatical position?
The student: It is an introductory phrase to explain this disease?

The Shaykh : Fine, good.

The Shaykh : What is meant by "signs" here, O Bandar?
The student: His cosmic signs

The Shaykh : And the legislative ones, how is the order with the legislative signs?
The student: They denied what Musa brought,

The Shaykh : Or His messengers, because He says:
and those before them والذين من قبلهم
[Ali 'Imran 3:11]

The student: Yes, all the messengers, and also in the cosmic signs,

The Shaykh : In the cosmic signs, they denied them either by attributing them to other than Allah, or by saying that Allah has a partner or a helper in them.

The Shaykh : Now, Allah, Exalted is He, said:
so Allah seized them for their sins فأخذهم الله بذنوبهم
[Ali 'Imran 3:11]
The letter "ba," O Akh? What does the "ba" mean? You were not present? Faisal?
The student: The "ba" is causal

The Shaykh : The "ba" here is causal, Allah seized them because of their sins, and another meaning is valid, O Fahd?
The student: The equivalent

The Shaykh : The equivalent means their punishment is of the same kind as their deed and as a compensation for it, and Allah is severe in retribution. Shall we take the benefits now?
From the benefits of this noble verse, these verses, first, the first verse: That the disbelievers may be granted wealth and children, did you take that? Yes, and what remains?
