The questioner : In it, he says: I hope you will guide me to what is good. I have been married for five years, and there is always a quarrel between the family members. I have a mother and younger brothers who have nothing but the face of Allah, and I am the one who works and provides for them. There is always a quarrel between my wife and my mother as a result of the brothers; they bring the problems, and this is how the quarrel happens. I do not know what to do. I have a house that is three meters away from my brothers' house, which I built for fifty thousand Yemeni riyals. I do not know whether I should stand up to my mother, because I know the rights of parents. So please advise us. May Allah reward you for us and for the Muslims with good?

The Shaykh : I say that if it is not possible to live in peace within the family, there is no blame on you if you move your wife to another place to live with her, and you can please your mother with what pleases her. This is easier than everyone remaining in distress, where neither you nor they enjoy a happy life. And your being separate from your family in another place is not undutifulness to parents, but rather this is reconciliation. And Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) does not waste the reward of those who reconcile. So what we see for you is that you separate and live with your wife in a place, and you keep your mother in your heart and your soul, and you visit her from time to time.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : This message reached us from the Arab Republic of Egypt from the listener Hamud Fu'ad al-Wasiti. He says in his message: The first question, and if the answer is from us, he says: I sent a message before this one a while ago, not less than twenty-five days, and I have not heard the answer to it. We say to the brother Hamud: The question you sent in your message was known, and we opened the envelope, but it was not suitable for broadcast. So present the question to the nearest scholar to you, and may Allah guide you. And if you do not find the answer, there is no blame in that.
He says: And we do not say there is no blame in the answer, but there is no blame in not finding the answer.
