Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: The sister who indicated her name as B. N. F. from Ad-Dalim says in her question: What is the ruling on one who delays Hajj without an excuse, while he is able to perform it and has the means?
Answer: One who is able to perform Hajj but does not perform the obligatory Hajj and delays it without an excuse has committed a great evil and a major sin. It is obligatory for him to repent to Allah for that and to hasten to perform Hajj. This is based on the saying of Allah, the Exalted: [Al-Imran: 97], and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2609Sahih (Darussalam) It is agreed upon as authentic. And based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him) when Jibril (peace be upon him) asked him about Islam, he said: Sahih Muslim 8a Muslim narrated it in his Sahih, from the hadith of 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). And success is from Allah.

أن تشهد ألا إله إلا الله وأن محمدًا رسول الله، وتقيم الصلاة، وتؤتي الزكاة، وتصوم رمضان، وتحج البيت إنْ استطعت إليه سبيلًا
