Expiation for leaving some of the obligatory acts

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: From Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Baz to the honorable brother A. M. B. G. May Allah grant him understanding. Amen.
Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings, and after that:
Your noble letter dated 17/2/1392 AH reached you, may Allah guide you, containing your question about what happened to you during Hajj. You stood at 'Arafah and spent the night at Muzdalifah, and you exited the state of ihram without stoning the pillars because you forgot the midday and afternoon prayers at 'Arafah until just before sunset. Then you became distressed and did not complete the rituals of Hajj. You ask what is obligatory for you in this matter?

Answer: You remain in the state of ihram until the date mentioned, and your intention to exit the state of ihram is not valid because the conditions for exiting were not met. You must hasten to wear the clothes of ihram as soon as you receive this answer, and go to Makkah with the intention of completing the Hajj. You must perform the circumambulation of the Ka'bah seven times as the circumambulation of Hajj, and pray the two rak'ahs of the circumambulation. Then you must walk between al-Safa and al-Marwah as the walking of Hajj. Then you must shave or shorten your hair, and shaving is better if you have not previously shaved or shortened your hair with the intention of Hajj. Then you exit the state of ihram. You owe a sacrificial animal for leaving the stoning of all the pillars, since you did not stone the Aqabah pillar on the Day of Sacrifice or the three pillars on the 11th and 12th days. This is one-seventh of a camel, one-seventh of a cow, a two-year-old goat, or a one-year-old sheep, to be slaughtered in the Makkah sanctuary and distributed among its poor.
You also owe another sacrificial animal of the same kind for leaving the overnight stay in Mina on the days of Mina, if you did not stay there. It is to be slaughtered in the Makkah sanctuary and distributed among the poor.
In addition to this, you must repent and seek forgiveness for the shortcoming that occurred by leaving the obligatory stoning in its time and the overnight stay in Mina, if you did not stay there.
As for the circumambulation, the walking, and the shaving, their time is extended, but performing them during the time of Hajj is better. If you are married and you had intercourse with your wife, you have invalidated your Hajj. However, you must do what was mentioned above, because the invalidated Hajj must be completed just like the valid one, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And complete the Hajj and 'umrah for Allahوَأَتِمُّواْ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلّهِ
[al-Baqarah:196]. You must make it up in the future according to your ability. You owe a camel for invalidating your Hajj by having intercourse with your wife before beginning to exit the state of ihram, to be slaughtered in the Makkah sanctuary and distributed among the poor. However, if you had stoned the pillar on the Day of Sacrifice, a sheep would suffice for you instead of the camel, and your Hajj would not be invalidated, like the one who had intercourse after the circumambulation before completing his exit from the state of ihram by stoning or shaving. May Allah grant all understanding of His religion and steadfastness upon it, and may peace and the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you.
