A slight delay in departing after the farewell tawaf is excused

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: I performed Hajj last year, praise be to Allah, and I did the farewell tawaf one hour before Maghrib. After the Isha prayer, I left, but due to an unintentional circumstance, I was delayed. Is anything required of me? I ask for guidance. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer: Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. After that:
It is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said to the pilgrims:
None of you should depart until his last visit is to the Houseلا ينفرن أحد منكم حتى يكون آخر عهده بالبيت
Muslim recorded it in his Sahih, and Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) said: "The people were commanded to make their last visit to the House, except that it was made easier for the menstruating woman." It is agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
And his saying "The people were commanded" means that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded them, so it is not permissible for a pilgrim to leave Makkah except after the farewell tawaf if he intends to travel to his homeland, or to other lands. And if he bids farewell before sunset, then sits after Maghrib for a need, or to listen to a lesson, or to pray Isha, there is no harm in that, for the duration is slight and is excused.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the farewell tawaf in the Farewell Pilgrimage at the end of the night, then led the people in the Fajr prayer, and then he (peace and blessings be upon him) departed.
So a slight delay is excused in the farewell tawaf, and if you departed after Isha, there is no harm in that. However, if you stayed for a long period, you should repeat the farewell tawaf. And if you did not repeat the farewell tawaf, there is no blame on you, if Allah wills; because although the duration had some length, it is forgiven, if Allah wills, due to ignorance of the obligation to hasten and rush to depart after the farewell tawaf.
