The reciter: Zuhayr ibn Harb and Ishaq ibn Ibrahim both narrated from Jarir. Zuhayr said: Jarir narrated to us from al-A'mash from Ibrahim al-Taymi from his father, who said: .
The Shaykh : Qurr: means cold.
The reader:Sahih Muslim 1788.
The Shaykh : Qurrat means: I was struck by the cold. This is among the signs of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and it also indicates that obedience to Allah and His Messenger is protection from all evil. Therefore, when he (may Allah be pleased with him) got up, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned him by name, he was as if in a hot bath, meaning in heat, even though the wind was severe and cold, from the east. But obedience to Allah and His Messenger is protection from all evil.
When he finished his task and returned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the cold struck him, meaning the cold.
It also contains evidence of the perfection of the intellect of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), and that the jealousy in their hearts does not lead them to disobey the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). If he had been one of the reckless people who claim to be jealous, he would have killed him, because he had the opportunity to do so quickly. But restraining the self to obey Allah and His Messenger, that is jihad. Jihad is not recklessness, nor is it for a person to rush forward and become emotional in a place where he may be forbidden from advancing. But jihad is for a person to strive against his own self and restrain it to obey Allah and His Messenger.
In my opinion, and Allah knows best, if this had happened to many of the young men of today, he would have killed him, then interpreted it. But these people, I mean the Companions, know that obedience to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is all good.
The reader:Sahih Muslim 1788.
The Shaykh : This is from the good character of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he jokes, and he does not say anything but the truth. And Nawman means: one who sleeps a lot.
We were with Hudhayfah, and a man said: "If I had lived to see the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I would have fought with him and performed well." Hudhayfah said: "Would you have done that? I saw us with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the night of the Trench, and a severe wind and cold struck us.
The Shaykh : Qurr: means cold.
The reader:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be him) said: Hark, the man who (goes reconnoitring and) brings me the news of the enemy shall be ranked with me on the Day of Judgment by Allah (the Glorious and Exalted). We all kept quiet and none of us responed to him. (Again) he said: Hark, a man who (goes reconnoitring and) brings me the news of the enemy shall be ranked with me on the Day of Judgment by Allah (the Glorious and Exalted). We kept quiet and none of us responded to him. He again said: Hark, a man who (goes reconnoitring and) brings me the news of the enemy shall be ranked with me on the Day of Judgtuent by Allah (the Glorious and Exalted) Then he said: Get up Hudhaifa, bring me the news of the enemy. When he called me by name I had no alternative but to get up. He said: Go and bring me information about the enemy, and do nothing that may provoke them against me. When I left him, I felt warm as if I were walking in a heated bath untill I reached them. I saw Abu Sufyan warming his back against fire I put an arrow in the middle of the bow. intending to shoot at him, when I recalled the words of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)" Do not provoke them against me." Had I shot at him, I would have hit him. But I returned and (felt warm as if) I were walking in a heated bath (hammam). Presenting myself before him, I gave him information about the enemy. When I had done so, I began to feel cold

The reader:
so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wrapped me in a blanket that he had in excess to his own requirement and with which he used to cover himself while saying his prayers. So I continued to sleep until it was morning. When it was morning he said: Get up, O heavy sleeper.
The Shaykh : This is from the good character of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he jokes, and he does not say anything but the truth.
