The reciter: He said (may Allah have mercy on him): " Sahih al-Bukhari 4418 .
When I entered the Mosque. I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sitting
When the one whose voice I had heard bringing me good news came to me, I took off my two garments and clothed him with them as a gift for his good news, and by Allah, I did not possess anything other than them at that time. I borrowed two garments and put them on, and I set out to follow the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The people met me in groups, congratulating me on my repentance and saying to me: 'May Allah make your repentance a joy for you.' Until I entered the mosque and found the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sitting with the people around him. Talhah ibn 'Ubayd Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and hurried over to shake my hand and congratulate me. By Allah, no man from the Muhajirun stood up to do so other than him, and Ka'b never forgot this kindness of Talhah's. Ka'b said: When I greeted the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said, his face shining with joy: 'Rejoice in the best day that has passed over you since your mother bore you.' I said: 'Is this from you, O Messenger of Allah, or from Allah?' He said: 'No, but from Allah (Mighty and Majestic).' And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when he was pleased, his face would light up until it was as if his face were a piece of the moon, and we used to know that from him. When I sat before him, I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, part of my repentance is that I divest myself of my wealth as charity for Allah and for His Messenger.' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Hold onto some of your wealth, for it is better for you.' I said: 'I will hold onto my share in Khaybar.' And I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, Allah the Exalted has only saved me through truthfulness, and part of my repentance is that I will not speak except the truth as long as I remain. By Allah, I have not known any of the Muslims whom Allah the Exalted has treated better in the truthfulness of speech since I mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) than what Allah the Exalted has treated me with. By Allah, I have not intentionally told a lie since I said that to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) until this day of mine, and I hope that Allah the Exalted will preserve me in what remains of my life
