The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:
He said -may Allah have mercy on him-: "The chapter on the husband's right over the wife:
Allah the Exalted said:
Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard
[An-Nisa 4:34]
.
As for the hadiths: From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When a man invites his wife to his bed and she does not come, and he (the husband) spends the sight being angry with her, the angels curse her until morning.
Sahih Muslim 1436d
, agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
And in a narration from both of them:
When a woman spends the night away from the bed of her husband, the angels curse her until morning.
Sahih Muslim 1436a
.
And in a narration: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
By Him in whose hand my soul is, if any woman who has been called to come to her husband’s bed refuses, He who is in heaven is displeased with her till her t husband is pleased with her.
