Reading the statement of Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding what he transmitted: "

The reader: He said (may Allah have mercy on him): "The chapter on reconciliation between people:
Allah the Exalted said:

No good is there in much of their private conversation, except for those who enjoin charity or that which is right or conciliation between people

لا خَير في كثير مِن نجواهم إلا مَن أمر بصدقةٍ أو معروفٍ أو إصلاح بين الناس

[An-Nisa 4:114]

And Allah the Exalted said:

Reconciliation is better

والصلح خير

And He, the Exalted, said:

So fear Allah and amend that which is between you

فاتقوا الله وأصلحوا ذات بينكم

[Al-Anfal 8:1]
