Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted: "From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: إن الله تعالى خلق الخلق، حتى إذا فرغ منهم قامت الرحم فقالت: هذا مقام العائذ بكَ من القطيعة، قال: نعم، أما ترضين أن أصل من وصلك وأقطع من قطعك، قالت: بلى، قال: فذلِك لك ، ثم قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: اقرءوا إن شئتم : فهل عسيتم إن توليتم أن تفسدوا في الأرض وتقطعوا أرحامكم أولئك الذين لعنهم الله فأصمهم وأعمى أبصارهم Indeed, Allah the Exalted created the creation, and when He had finished them, the womb stood up and said: This is the position of the one who seeks refuge in You from severance. He said: Yes. Are you not pleased that I will maintain the connection of the one who maintains it with you, and sever the connection of the one who severs it from you? She said: Yes. He said: Then that is for you. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Read, if you wish: 'Then will you, if you turn away, cause corruption on earth and sever your relatives? Those are the ones whom Allah has cursed, so He made them deaf and blinded their eyes.', agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
And in a narration by al-Bukhari:
Allah said: 'I will keep good relation with the one who will keep good relation with you, (womb i.e. Kith and Kin) and sever the relation with him who will sever the relation with you, (womb, i.e. Kith and Kin). فقال الله تعالى: مَن وصلك وصلته، ومن قطعك قطعته

And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, who is the most deserving of my good companionship? He said: Your mother. He said: Then who? He said: Your mother. He said: Then who? He said: Your mother. He said: Then who? He said: Your father. جاء رجل إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: يا رسول الله من أحق الناس بحسن صحابتي ؟ قال: أمك ، قال ثم من؟ قال: أمك ، قال: ثم من؟ قال: أمك ، قال: ثم من؟ قال: أبوك
, agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
And in a narration:
O Messenger of Allah, who is the most deserving of my good companionship? He said: Your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father, then the next closest to you, the next closest to you. يا رسول الله من أحق الناس بحسن الصحبة؟ قال أمك ثم أمك ثم أمك ثم أباك ، ثم أدناك أدناك
