Treatment of Satan's Whispers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I praise Allah; I establish the prayer and perform the voluntary prayers, but sometimes doubts assail me that my deeds are not accepted, as a result of Satan's whispers, may Allah protect us from him. What is the cure for this? May Allah reward you.

Answer:
There is no doubt that this is from Satan. If a person has fulfilled what is required of him, he should have a good opinion of his Lord, strive for sincerity in his deeds and truthfulness in his actions, and leave aside the whispers that trouble him that he is showing off, or that he is such-and-such, or that he is such-and-such, as long as he knows that his deed is for Allah and that, by the praise of Allah, he is not showing off to people, but rather he did what he did for Allah. He should know that this is from Satan, and it is obligatory for him to seek refuge in Allah from Satan constantly. He should occupy himself with other things to distract him from this matter that troubles him and turn away from it, for this is from Allah's enemy, Satan, to discourage him. So let him fight Allah's enemy, Satan, by saying: "I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan." Let him occupy himself with other activities that will make him forget this matter, such as reciting the Qur'an, seeking forgiveness, talking with his brothers and family, and other things that occupy him with these whispers.
