The ruling on blaming oneself for shortcomings and fearing that one will not be forgiven

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Often, indeed in most cases, I am overcome by the feeling that I am falling short, and I blame myself severely, merely for missing the congregational prayer or something else, and I fear that Allah will not forgive me. What should I do? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
You must have good expectations of Allah, along with repenting from the shortcomings you have committed in the past. You must continue in doing good, and be wary of the whispers of Satan and of obeying one's desires. Be glad of good.
The point is to be steadfast, and to repent from the shortcomings of the past, while having good expectations of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah the Exalted says:يقول الله 
: I am in accordance with what My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he calls upon Me. So you must have good expectations of your Lord, and be steadfast upon the truth. As for the shortcomings that have passed, you must repent to Allah from them. Yes.
