Ruling on nullifying sorcery by melting lead and placing it with water on the head

A sister from Iraq has a second question in this letter, in which she says: There are some beliefs among some people regarding ruining sorcery and nullifying it, which consist of taking some lead melted over fire, pouring it into a container of water, then placing it on the head of the bewitched person, and repeating the process three times a day. Does this have any basis? And what is the ruling of the Shari'ah regarding it?
Answer: This is something with no basis, and no benefit in it; it is deception and illusion. Otherwise, there is no benefit in melting lead and placing it on the head, or putting it in water and then applying it... All of this is done by fortune-tellers, deceptors, and sorcerers as a form of deception. Otherwise, they are working in service of the jinn and the devils. Therefore, it is not permissible to resolve [sorcery] by this means. Rather, sorcery is resolved by what Allah has prescribed of lawful remedies and recitation. This is the way to resolve sorcery. If a person is afflicted with sorcery, or is prevented from his wife, he is treated by recitation. A righteous man known for good recites over him, and if it is a woman, a righteous woman known for good recites over her. Verses from the Qur'an are recited: the opening of the Book (Surat al-Fatihah), the Verse of the Throne, the known verses of sorcery in Surat al-A'raf, Surat Yunus, and Surat Ta-Ha, along with the recitation of:, and [Al-Ikhlas 112:1] and the two chapters of protection (al-Mu'awwidhatayn). Then he drinks as much of it as is easy, and rinses his mouth with the rest. By the permission of Allah, the sorcery will be removed from him, and likewise the prevention that occurred to him when he was prevented from his wife. If he repeats this two or three times or more, there is no harm, until the harm is removed from him. If seven leaves of the sidr tree are added to it, this is also good. This was used and mentioned by the predecessors, and it is beneficial by the permission of Allah. The sidr is a pure thing with no harm. If it is ground and placed in water with the recitation, this is among the causes of healing. If he adds to that the known supplication established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Riyad as-Salihin 902.
If he supplicates with this supplication three times, it is good; he blows with it into the water. And likewise: three times. He repeats this: meaning: the patient, or he addresses him Sahih Muslim 2186, repeating it three times. This is also among the appropriate supplications for this treatment. The verses of sorcery are known. In al-A'raf, He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: : [al-A'raf: 117-119].
And in the story of Yunus, he (peace and blessings be upon him) says: : [Yunus:79-82], and in the story of Ta-Ha, He (Glorified and Exalted is He) says: [Ta-Ha:65-69], then he recites: , [Al-Ikhlas 112:1] three times, [Al-Falaq 113:1] three times, [An-Nas 114:1] three times. This is the lawful remedy and the lawful treatment that the scholars have prescribed and the scholars have tried, and we have also tried it, and Allah has made it beneficial. So it is a good medicine with the verses of Allah, and if what was mentioned before of the seven leaves of the date palm is added to it and all of this is ground, that is also good.
And if another remedy is known that has no objection, another remedy with leaves, or seeds, or injections, there is no harm, if it is free from what Allah has forbidden, such as impurity or otherwise. As for treating with what the servants of the jinn and sorcerers use, such as lead or other things, or slaughtering for the jinn, or seeking protection from the jinn, all of this is not permissible and is reprehensible. Some of it is major shirk (associating partners with Allah). We ask Allah for safety. One must be cautious, and whoever is afflicted with this must beware of what Allah has forbidden and use what Allah has permitted. There is no harm; it is prescribed for him to seek treatment. Yes.

(81) And when they had thrown, Moses said, "What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupters. (82) And Allah will establish the truth by His words, even if the criminals dislike it."

(66) He said, "Rather, you throw." And suddenly their ropes and staffs seemed to him from their magic that they were moving [like snakes]. (67) And he sensed within himself apprehension, did Moses. (68) Allah said, "Fear not. Indeed, it is you who are superior. (69) And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted.
