Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The question: He says: What is meant by spending in His saying (peace and blessings be upon him) in Surat al-Furqan:
And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparinglyوَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا
[al-Furqan:67]?
The answer: The meaning is spending on the household, on the family, on the wife, the children, and the servants. One should take the middle path, neither being extravagant nor stingy between them:
not excessively or sparinglyلَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا
[Al-Furqan 25:67]
(nor were they stingy): they were not stingy... meaning: his spending should be moderate. This is what is prescribed. This is the description of the slaves of Allah, the people of goodness and faith. They do not spend extravagantly, nor are they stingy, but they take the middle path. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
