If a woman breastfeeds a girl, the provider of the milk becomes her father

Question:
We begin first with a letter from (H. M. A.) from Jarash, Gaza Camp, which says: A woman breastfed a girl, and this girl is her biological daughter. Then, this woman’s milk dried up and stopped, and then another milk came for her, with which she breastfed a second girl, and this girl is a neighbor in their house. So, is the woman’s husband here considered the father of the second girl?
We ask for evidence for this, and may Allah guide you.
Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon His servant and messenger, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions and the Tabi'un. As for what follows:
Indeed, Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) made it clear that breastfeeding establishes motherhood and establishes brotherhood; for when He mentioned the prohibited [marriages], He said in Surat al-Nisa: [al-Nisa:23] And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan Ibn Majah 1937Sahih (Darussalam).
So the one who breastfed a girl, then her breast dried up, then she breastfed her with the milk that came for her, becomes her mother, and the provider of the milk becomes her father. The fact that the milk stopped and then returned does not affect the ruling. The provider of the milk is the father of the girl for whom the milk came about due to her, so she is the mother of the first by blood and by breastfeeding, and the mother of the second by breastfeeding, if she breastfed her five times or more, and the nursling is within the two years of nursing. If the nursling is within the two years and this woman breastfed her five times or more, then she becomes her mother, and the provider of the milk, who is her husband, becomes the father of the nursling, and her brothers become her maternal uncles, and her sisters become her maternal aunts, and so on, just as with blood relations; due to the saying of the Chosen One (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan Ibn Majah 1937Sahih (Darussalam) Yes.
