Question:
Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) says: :
the men who guard their private parts and the women who do soوَالْحَافِظِينَ فُرُوجَهُمْ وَالْحَافِظَاتِ
[Al-Ahzab: 35]. Do you recall the word "farj" (private part) in the Book of our Lord, and does it refer to the reproductive organ in both the male and the female? We ask for your information and an explanation of the verse?
May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Yes, the meaning is guarding the farj, which is the farj of the woman and the farj of the man. That is, guarding her farj from anyone other than her husband and her master, and guarding his farj from anyone other than his wife and his slave woman. The meaning is that the believing man and the believing woman have guarded their private parts from unlawful sexual intercourse (zina) and sodomy. And Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) says:
Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.
[Al-Ahzab: 35].
This is a great verse in which He (Glorified and Exalted is He) mentioned that He has prepared for these ten categories of people forgiveness and a great reward, on account of their good deeds, such as their Islam, their faith, their devout standing in prayer, their charity, their humility, their fasting, their guarding of their private parts, their remembrance of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), their patience, and other known characteristics of the people of faith.
So the conclusion from His saying:
the men who guard their private parts and the women who do soوَالْحَافِظِينَ فُرُوجَهُمْ وَالْحَافِظَاتِ
[Al-Ahzab 33:35]
This is called minor sodomy. It is not permissible for him to have intercourse with her except in the place of sowing, which is the farj, which is the front. It is not permissible for him to have intercourse with his slave woman—who is his concubine—except in her farj, which is the front. It is not permissible for him to have intercourse with her in her rear.
And a slave woman is one whom a man possesses through capturing non-Muslims in war, or through purchase, or through lawful inheritance, and so on. The woman is permissible to her master who possesses her through lawful capture, or lawful purchase, or lawful inheritance, just as she is permissible to her husband, but with the restriction mentioned by Allah, which is the private parts. So neither of them may transgress the limits of Allah; for this reason, He said in His noble Book in Surat al-Mu'minun:
(1) Certainly will the believers have succeeded: (2) They who are during their prayer humbly submissive (3) And they who turn away from ill speech (4) And they who are observant of zakah (5) And they who guard their private parts (6) Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - (7) But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors -قدْ أفْلح الْمُؤْمنُون ۝ الّذين هُمْ في صلاتهمْ خاشعُون ۝ والّذين هُمْ عن اللّغْو مُعْرضُون ۝ والّذين هُمْ للزّكاة فاعلُون ۝ والّذين هُمْ لفُرُوجهمْ حافظُون ۝ إلّا على أزْواجهمْ أوْ ما ملكتْ أيْمانُهُمْ فإنّهُمْ غيْرُ ملُومين ۝ فمن ابْتغى وراء ذلك فأُوْلئك هُمُ الْعادُون
[al-Mu'minun:1-7] So whoever seeks beyond what Allah has made permissible is the transgressor, meaning: the wrongdoer who transgresses the limits of Allah.
So it is obligatory for every believer to adhere to the limit of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), and to strive to be chaste regarding what Allah has forbidden. He should have intercourse with his wife in what Allah has made lawful, in the farj, in the front, and not in the rear, not during menstruation, not during post-natal bleeding, and not while she is in the state of ihram. He should have intercourse with her at the time of permissibility. Likewise, his concubine, who is his slave woman, through lawful ownership.
And the woman likewise must guard her farj, except from her husband and her lawful master. And she must beware of what Allah has forbidden, such as zina, and what is attached to zina, which is anal intercourse, whether from her husband or other than her husband. All of that is forbidden, from her husband and other than her husband, just as zina is forbidden. So likewise, anal intercourse is forbidden, even from her husband. It is not permissible for him to have intercourse with her in her rear, and it is not permissible for her master to have intercourse with her in her rear. So the perfect believing woman is the one who guarded her farj except from her husband and her master in what Allah has made lawful. And the perfect believing man is the one who guarded his farj except from what Allah has made lawful of his lawful wife and his lawful slave woman, in the place of intercourse, which is the front. Yes.
