Is it a sin for one to pray in his house?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
It is near my mosque, but it has no imam. So, is it obligatory for me to pray in it? And if this mosque has an imam, is there a sin on me if I pray in my house?

Answer:
It is obligatory to pray in congregation, and it is not permissible for you to pray in your house. Even if there is no imam in the mosque, they should appoint one of them, appointing the one who is most knowledgeable and best, to lead them in prayer. It is not permissible for you to pray in the house. And if they appoint you because you are the most knowledgeable and best, then lead them in prayer. It is not permissible for you or for anyone else to pray in the house and leave the congregation; because of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever hears the call for prayer and and does not come (to the mosque for prayer), his prayer will not be accepted from him, unless he has a (legitimate) excuse.من سمع النداء فلم يأت فلا صلاة له إلا من عذر
Bulugh al-Maram 2:308
. The excuse is: illness, fear, and the like of what prevents a person from going to the mosque.
It is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that a blind man came to him. A blind man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seeking permission to pray in his house, and he mentioned that he had no guide to lead him. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:
Do you hear the call to prayer?هل تسمع النداء بالصلاة؟
Sahih Muslim 653
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him:
Do you hear the call to prayer?هل تسمع النداء
meaning the adhan? He said: Yes. He said:
Then respond.فأجب
If the blind man who has no guide is ordered to respond, how much more so is it for others whom Allah has blessed.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
